South Shore Swimming Club encourages swimmers of all abilities to get involved in swimming for fun and fitness.

 

We achieve this through:

• Club Nights: All swimmers are welcome to try our club nights three times without commitment. See Club Night page for schedule and information.
• Introductory Meets designed for beginners (i.e. Splash and Dash, Summer Series)

Memberships and Fees

SWA Annual Member - Junior Swimmers (aged 9-12), Age Swimmers (13-18) & Open/Senior Swimmers who actively seek to swim at competitive swimming meets and/or Club races.  These include any sanctioned meet, inter-club meet or club meet where times are recorded.

 

SWA Pathway Member - There are three categories in this membership:

• Social Fitness are likely to be people that are currently swimming in some kind of structured format. This may include participants in a surf lifesaving Club, a local pool squad programme, or a casual swimmer at an aquatic centre.
• Participation - Transitioning through from Social Fitness for those who are just entering into the world of competitive swimming.
  
• Junior Dolphins – 7 years and under.  Aimed at swimmers who are graduating from Learn To Swim school and wish to explore the social environment of a swimming club. These swimmers are entitled to swim at competitive swimming meets, junior dolphin carnivals and Club nights.  Also Junior Dolphin pre squad -  Aimed at 8 year olds as they transition from the Junior Dolphins to the main Club environment. These swimmers must be 8 years old (aged 8 on the day you join -from the 1^st Oct) who actively seek to swim at competitive swimming meets and/or Club races.

• SWA Non-Swimmer Member - applies to committee members & parents of children who are registered. 

• SSSC Coach Membership - available for all current ASCTA accredited coaches.

• SWA Technical Official Membership - for all officials.

• SWA Individual Member - any “natural” person aspiring to be part of the Association

Kidsport

The South Shore swimming club is also a registered Kid Sport club so assistance towards fees can be possible provided you meet the relevant criteria.  An information form for this is available  HERE
